Women in technology are dealing with similar challenges, craving the same opportunities, seeking new ways to grow, and looking for like-minded professionals with whom to share their experiences. We are pleased to bring you this special luncheon, inspiring presentation, and great conversation with your User Group peers – entirely dedicated to learning and sharing how we can mentor and empower women to succeed in technology-related fields.

Moderator Linda Rose and panelists Crystal E. Ahrens, Leila Etaati, MVP, Gina Pabalan, and Jayna Mistry will share their stories of the power of mentoring and career lessons learned with your questions taking center stage! The conversation continues with discussion at your table to share perspectives, learn and connect with one another.
Women in Technology is a special interest group available to members of any Dynamic Communities User Group.

After spending 25 years as a Microsoft Dynamics Partner, Linda decided to sell it all and retire. Well….almost. Linda has created, bought and sold four companies during her business career. Her recent sale of her Microsoft Dynamics Cloud hosting company to a Private Equity firm allowed her to turn in the keys to her office and walk out the door 45 days later.
She now has a book “Get Acquired for Millions: A Roadmap for Technology Service Providers to Maximize Company Value” which has already hit #1 on Amazon in the Consolidations and Mergers category. She also has written a propriety assessment to help partner organizations determine current market value and identify gaps for improvement.
Linda currently advises partner organizations on how best to plan and build company value, so that one day they too can be acquired for millions. She is a wife of 29 years and the mother. She calls the Pacific her backyard – triangulating between her homes in Southern California, Oregon, and Hawaii.

PANELIST: Leila Etaati, MVP – Consultant, RADACAD

Leila is the First Microsoft AI MVP in New Zealand and Australia. She is a Data Platform MVP as well. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Auckland. She is the co-director and data scientist in RADACAD company with many clients around the world. She is the co-organizer of Microsoft Business Intelligence and Power BI Use group in Auckland with more than 1300 members; She is the co-organizer of 3 main conferences in Auckland: SQL Saturday Auckland (from 2015), Difinity (from 2017) and Global AI Bootcamp. She is a data scientist, BI consultant, trainer, and speaker. She is a well-known International speaker to many conferences such as MS Ignite, SQL PASS, Data Platform Summit, SQL Saturday, Power BI world Tour and in Europe, USA, Asia, Australia, and NZ. She has over 10 years’ experience with databases and software systems. Leila is an active Technical Microsoft AI blogger in RADACAD.

PANELIST: Jayna Mistry – Financial Reporting Manager, City of Houston
Jayna Mistry

Jayna Mistry is an accomplished financial manager with over 18 years of professional experience in the corporate and government sectors. Jayna leads the Financial Reporting team at the Housing Department of the fourth largest City in the US … Houston. She is an expert when it comes to financial analysis, forecasting, strategic business planning and reporting. She knows first-hand the overwhelm and frustration of tying several different funding sources that each have stringent rules and regulations. Jayna is passionate about telling stories through data and providing the big picture so you can understand it … even when numbers are not your forte. She is innovative and works hard to achieve her vision of taking Financial Reporting to the next level and in making City of Houston’s Housing and Community Development a leader when it comes to Financial Reporting. Jayna is a devoted wife of 19 years and mother to 2 beautiful daughters.

Crystal Ahrens

Crystal E. Ahrens MCP, MCSA, MCSE has been implementing technology solutions for twenty years and has over ten years working in ERP. Crystal has performed responsibilities as an Application Architect Solution, Solution Delivery Manager, Program Manager, Project Manager, Technical Lead and held numerous training sessions for end users. Additionally, Crystal has broad experience with architecting end to end functional solutions, developing functional requirement specifications, application user education, planning and executing system integration testing, Conference room pilots set up and execution. Crystal ability to adapt to business area culture and quickly grasp new concepts allow her to establish lasting relationships with business functional teams and become their trusted advisor, resulting in quality service delivery and solutions. Her Comprehensive background includes domestic and international experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, sales, information systems, and enterprise program/ project management and recently in hybrid Traditional and Digital Imaging Solutions, Business transformation, Supply Chain Management, Collaboration Software, Engineer-to-order manufacturing industry. Crystal achieved Microsoft Certification Dynamics AX 2012 and D365 as well as various other office applications, Scrum Master Certification. Six Sigma Green Belt, ISO 9002 Certification, CMM Level 2 and is a native Spanish speaker. On a personal note Crystal is a proud wife and mother of five ranging from ages 26 to 7. When not enjoying her many fur babies or children ‘s events ballet & football .Crystal enjoys spending time on Disney cruise lines with her Husband and family.


Gina Pabalan, MBA, CPA
Gina is a seasoned business executive who is passionate about serving the needs of Microsoft Dynamics customers and helping them obtain valuable insights from their operational data. Gina’s pragmatic “no hype” approach to delivering BI solutions focuses squarely on delivering business value. In addition to Gina’s solid comprehension of data & analytics, Gina has a unique blend of experiences and skills that serve her Dynamics clients well. - CPA/MBA, with 12 years Big 6 consulting experience serving mid-market clients ($100m-2b Revenue) - 30+ years manufacturing industry experience, with deep understanding of financial management, supply chain management and manufacturing operations. - 29+ years Business Applications and Business Intelligence experience, as an internal program manager and core team member, and then serving clients as a consultant and/or senior advisor on 100+ ERP and BI engagements. - 14+ years Microsoft Dynamics experience, leading a Microsoft territory, and working in the ISV and the VAR communities. - 10+ years leading BI client delivery, with hand-on experience delivering BI strategy & solutions - Navigates well across several domains, as well as experience leading both business and technical resources.
