Why women leave tech

I recently saw an article on Twitter about why women leave tech, and it was pretty heartbreaking! The first thing that pops out at you when you read the piece is:

It's the culture, not because 'math is hard'

What can we do better? We are smart, capable innovators! Many of us are seen as leaders in tech, and even if you don't consider yourself technical, we are still in an industry that supports different levels of involvement in technology. How can we help change and mold this culture?

There are plenty of support groups for women in tech, but if women dread going to work each day because of a culture issue, then the problem lies a lot deeper.

I can relate a little, but this may just be the pressure of being a woman period.  I feel like we've come into a society where its you either have a family or a career.  Why not both?  I love my kids and I love "nerding out" as I call it in AX.
